Does anyone know what made this limited edition sound so extended both in dynamic & frequency range wirhout sounding digital? Thus, sounding much less recorded & enhancing your suspension of disbelief.

Was it just better recording equipment that wasn't available when most of our favorite albums were recorded? Or, is it a matter of mastering tastes/decisions?

Have you heard the standard issue? Is ther a difference or are you just assuming?

NO, I have NOT heard the standard version. As it was, the CD I heard was my brother's. I was just hoping someone would know that too. I have no idea if the limited edition is any different of a bitstream, or whether it is just market packaging for collector's in regard to new CDs.

I agree that it would be nice if someone here knew.
