Does anyone know if any of the Gun's N' Roses on MFSL sound any good?

Hey, buddy....

I can only speak to for "Appetite For Destruction."

Pretty good.

Ben

Ben,

Does it sound like a near flat transfer, like Lynyrd Skynrd, Tom Petty both on UD1, or is the bass and treble boosted at all?

"G&R LIES" sounds great. It's not that too far away from the stock Geffen CD-EP tho.

Hi Dave,

I have all of the MFSL Guns N' Roses Ultradiscs. To me, they all sound untampered. In no way does it sound like (I presume) Shawn Britton boosted anything, and if he did, not much at all...

If you can find them and not break the bank buying them, get 'em. I recommend Griffco Records in Florida. Brent Griffith always seems to have what I'm looking for. Tell him I sent you...he's a terrific guy.

His telephone number is (727) 319-3408. I purchased the "Illusion" CDs in December from him as X-mas gifts and they were $30 each. Not marked up one bit...

Good Luck!

I agree with Rob 100% ! Brent is good people. I've done a fair amount of business with him in the past and I find him to be reasonably priced and VERY friendly to deal with. A real decent fellow.

Hey, Dave...

Ya know....that's a tough one 'cause my "Second Helping" UD1 sounds sooooooo awesome......one of the best MOFI's ever.

"Appetite" is very crisp without the MOFI "smile." Not quite as booming and tight as the Skynrd but, to my ears, very very good.

You'd like it!

Best,

Ben
