Signal Processors

Does anyone here use a signal processor such as a DBX 3BX or 4BX, when yo listen to your LP's. If so, what are the advantages, if not, why not?

Unless you have a special DBX encoded Columbia LP (from around 1981 or so), don't do it....Keep your signal chain as pure as possible!
