What does this Altec stuff sound like? I'm really curious about it. You can buy the Model 14s so inexpensively and they are 95db efficient. They would be great for tubes. They look really cool also. I've heard some vintage JBLs and my impression was that they sounded a bit hard. Altec was the same company, right? How does this old Altec stuff sound compared to the Tannoy and Klipsch stuff we've been discussing?
