Does anyone have an opinion on the sound on this ol' DCC disc?
Thanks!

Just bought it last week off of either ebay or half.com for 6.99. I think it sounds pretty darn good. I don't have any other CDs of it to compare, but the sound is full and it sounds as I think it should.

Great disc. Even has a bonus track; "Waterfall" which sounds a lot different than the other 2 albums. Highly recommended. When I was looking for some 10CC the 1st 2 Lps on the London/Parrot/UK label were no where to be found, except the DCC. Still holds up well. I play it rarely, but it's the best place to get the early hits.

It's excellent. I have a few cassettes, no CDs.
Find yourself a nice UK Deluxe pressing and you will be in for some real musical merriment.
"We're the worst band in the world but we don't give a..."
Speed Kills and Silly Love are absolute "scorchers" that BEG to be CRANKED! The amps were definitely turned to "11" on these songs.
I had the 2-fer (10cc/Sheet Music) but had to return it (sorry, Steve!) because of a defect with the track Waterfalls. Unfortunately, the store didn't have another copy, so I wound up getting The Beatles:Yellow Submarine-Songtrack instead.
Luckily, I have the original UK vinyl lps to play if need be.
I'd also recommend a CD called "10 cc-Early Years" on DOJO (or Castle) which has Waterfall, as well as, 13 other songs that make up 10cc's first 7 releases and their flip sides!

The Castle version of the first two albums is pretty good too. It can be found, probably still in print.

I recently picked up the "Snapper" version of 10cc's first album. Great packaging and good sound BUT the song Rubber Bullets is missing the last few seconds of the song that has the effects of bullets flying around, its on the lp.
It appears to be a single edit version. Sounds wierd after owning the lp for 20+ years.
You would think the cd would mimic the lp version, not use the single edit that is on the Greatest Hits package.
Does the Two-fer version have the longer edit of Rubber Bullets?

Well the CD says long version and it clocks at 5:16 but I don't hear the sound of the bullets. It's been a while since I listened to the vinyl but I vaguely remember that too. Guess I'll have to break out the vinyl copy when I get a chance.

Yep, the versions of Rubber Bullets that I have (The Very Best Of 10cc and 10cc (Snapper label)) don't have the finale of the song and clock in at 05:17.
But I know the lp had the sound of synthesized bullets that richocheted form speaker to speaker that sounded very cool, really made the song work.
Don't know why the would cut it out since it only lasts a few seconds. But I miss it on the cd versions.

vinyl clocks 5:18 and sound is definitely there, about 2 seconds worth, on the old UK (London) records
