Don't bid on this thing. Just look at it.

Ancient history, more than ten years old!
If you throw enough spaghetti against the wall, something has to stick.
This went right to the floor. Then into the closet.
Thanks to my tireless efforts, Hoffman's past comes back to haunt him, publicly. At least until this post is deleted.
The All Music Guide gave the Chapin album one star by the way, their lowest rating. The stupid fuels! Pearls before swine!
That won't stop me from selling it, I can assure you of that. Some "lucky" person (I hope none of you!) is going to make room in his home for this bit of audio history, and more power to him.
That's what makes America great, don't you think?
Blast away!

We also did a 3" of Ray Charles' "America The Beautiful".

Quick, do a search on the internet!
BTW, I also found a 2 track CD single called Leon Russell's Christmas Record, and it's pretty good!
Recorded for a 45 that was never released. This one wasn't in a closet because it wouldn't fit -- I have hundreds of them. I guess DCC figured they would improve with age, like fine wine.
And they might've been right! He sounds better relative to the singers of today than he did back in the seventies, when people wrote their own songs, played actual instruments, and could sing without the aid of electronic pitch control.
Ah, the good old days.
Tom,
You really crack me up! I will take one if you gift wrap it. Just let me know.:)
Tom Humorem ;) , when will your site be up (dccblowout.com)? I would not mind browsing around there!
And since I have absolutely NO Chapin in my Cd collection........

I've got one of these, though not sealed any more.
I guess we all did things in college we're a little embarrassed about now...

I remember the Harry and Ray 3" CDs. Right when DELOS came out with a classical 3" CD, everyone who loved the CD format in its early stages got one.
I still have it. Plays Firebird Suite and a few other things. Trendy little things!

Oh dear... this just opens up a can of worms with regards to completeness of the discography! Ack!

Yes, there is the discographical information that Steve will admit to, and then there's stuff like this, when his voice gets very quiet and he can't look you in the eye, and the dark nights of the past comes flooding back. "I was young... I was drinking a lot back then... seemed like a good idea at the time... Who did it hurt..."
Like it says at the end of DCC 174 "Yo Quiero Music", right before The Macarena comes on, in the voice of the Taco Bell dog: "Oh no, not that song!" One for the time capsule in my book.
Hey, Jefferson fooled around with Sally Hemmings. This is not quite in that league. Close, but not quite.

As for things in the past, Jimi Hendrix used to open for the Monkees.
I can just imagine the horrified looks on parents' faces as Jimi falls to his knees, douses his Strat with lighter fluid, drops his Zippo lighter and sets it ablaze.
I would believe the Monkees were unable to to top that with "The Last Train to Clarksville".
