I got a 1980s Japanese import CD of Controversy today (has red printing on CD). The sound is amazing. Are the Japanese Prince CDs the same as the US ones sound quality wise or not?

I wonder if they played with it, you know, EQ'd it. The LP pretty much matches the domestic WB CD.

Hmmmm, I guess there aren't too many Prince fans around here.

Oh, I wouldn't say that.

I was just listening to my Mazarati LP the other day.

Hey, I'm a big fan of the Man in Purple. I just never heard any Japanese Prince CDs ...

Sign O' The Times is one of my all-time favorites by anyone. A must-have album ... he's still one of the greatest "one-man bands" ever.

I have a Japanese import of the Family's only CD, which was never released domestically. I pretty much have everything he's released, including several bootlegs, but can't comment on the difference between Japanese and domestic versions of any particular release.
