Rhino Spector Christmas Album CD

Is this version (on Rhino) the best sounding CD version of this great album? I bought it when it was available on Rhino and avoided the ABKCO version that is still available. Could anyone tell me which version sounds better? Or is there an even better version? One strange thing is in the middle of Sleigh Ride (just before the instrumental break, if my memory is correct) on the Rhino disc, there is a split second part that seems to go into stereo. It only lasts for a 1/2 second, but I can definately hear it. Does anyone know what this is? An edit to repair a damaged master, perhaps?

pooh on BOTH the Rhino and the ABKCO Cd, they are both horibble, compressed to death mono.


Get the Japanese STEREO LP, it sounds amazing. After listening to this, I will never go back to the mono. This LP sound just great in true stereo!!

My original mono LP actually sounds better than either CD release.
