There have been a lot of toon threads lately - since we seem to have some serious toonheads here, I'm gonna post a link to Termite Terrace and you can learn about banned toons (what's not shown anymore/where you might be able to see what alla the hubub is all about). Some of the info is about WW2 toons, some relate to stereotyped characters, some are about excessive violence. If you are easily offended, best skip this stuff - might make yer blood pressure raise a notch or two...

If you get seriously interested, register at the Toon Zone site (be patient - it took more than a week to get my account activated). I've already tracked down The Banned 11 and Bugs Bunny's Banned 12 (I don't have dvd dubbing capability - you're on yer own for getting goodies - sorry).... ;)

Oh yeah, if you find a link inside the banned toon thread, come back and clue us in - no telling what toons might be online (Clampett fans especially will wanna dig for that jazzy toon from 1943)...

There was also a Ren & Stimpy cartoon("Man's Best Friend")that was banned by Nickelodeon ten years ago due to excessive violence. So you see, the banning of cartoons continues to this very day.....

All sortsa stuff goes unseen; Famous Studios/Harvey toons became almost viciously violent - several of those are either MIA or very heavily edited (the fact that they're lousy is some compensation - thw Warner missing toons are soooooo much better)....
