This is in reference to the Elvis Presley 24 Karat Hits DCC gold CD I offered to go out and buy if anyone on the list wanted it (see the earlier Elvis Presley 24 Karat thread).
Well, I just got back from the Newbury Comics in Shrewsbury near my house , and they still had the disc, and I grabbed it.
With my 5 percent discount, the disc was $30.39, plus $1.52 tax for a total of $31.91.
It's noon EST, and I've heard from 3 different people. It's only 9am on the West Coast, and I really want to be fair about this. Here's what I've decided to do:
At 3:00pm EST today, Mon. Feb. 18, I will throw the names of everyone who's responded by then into a hat. (My wife and cats will be witnessing to keep me honest.) Whoever's name I draw ... that's who'll get the CD, in return for reimbursing me for the cost. It just seems the fairest way to do it under the circumstances ... I would just say the first person who responded should get it, but that wouldn't be fair to all of our friends on the West Coast and in other time zones ...
