I was reading the thread on the LS3/5A and thought it would be cool to try a pair.

For Steve - Which pair of Stirling Broadcast did you get and would you recommend?
LS3/5a Standard Version
LS3/5a "Reference" Cabinet Version
Would you recommend getting them from http://www.ls35a.com/ ?

How about some old used ones like?

The nice thing about getting new stuff is that you don't usually find problems down the road.

Any other fans here done listening tests?

Thanks,
Clay (I only have 10+ pairs of speakers and I think my wife will wonder why I am getting another pair......until she hears them...)

Way to go, Clay!! An optomist! :)

And since I only have 6 + pairs, I've some catching up to do. Can't wait to tell the wife..... :D

I've heard them once. Pretty nifty.

(In my best John Snagge voice): "This is the BBC Light Programme. Winds light to variable..."

I bought my pair off of eBay. They are ROGERS parts put together by Stirling.

I've never heard the reference cabinet version but if you have money, get them. Try Doug Stirling first... Cherry cabinets are pretty...
