This is good news. And they're the only two movies of the "Vacation" saga that are worth a damn.

"Christmas Vacation" ranks up there with "A Christmas Story" for annual holiday viewing.
Aw come on Brad, you didn't like "Vegas Vacation?"
:D

Great news. I loved all the Vacation movies. Vegas Vacation holds it's own against other comedies of the past decade, IMO.

That's good news, although I'd be satisfied with the current DVD forever... It's a Holiday Tradition in our family, just having it on DVD is special! Never fails to entertain...

Anyone ever read the original Ted Hughes story that became VACATION? I think it was entitled "Vacation '58," and it was a little more vicious than the screen version. The first sentence was a real grabber: "If Dad hadn't shot Walt Disney, it would have been the best vacation ever."

I love Vacation and Christmas Vacation. European Vacation was ok, and Vegas Vacation was terrible. They even took the National Lampoon's off for that movie! Glad to finally have Christmas in widescreen. What kind of extras will it have?

Heh. Those are the kind of movies you just have to watch again... and again... and again, hoping this time Chevy Chase won't mess up too badly. No such luck. :)
I enjoyed them all, though I prefer the original and "European Vacation". The best part of them all is watching the world through Clark Griswold's eyes, and realizing you enjoy the movies so much just because everyone is such a nice guy deep inside. It's a welcome change from many mean-spirited comedies.
