My tube amp has some bad can capacitors...what should I replace them with??

My tube amp has some bad multi-section can caps. One is a 400mf 50v/50mf 400v/50mf 400v and the other is a 50mf 350v/50mf 350v/50mf 350v. I'm having a hell of a time finding nos replacements. What should I do? Use individual caps instead or have some cans custom made?

Are you sure the value on those caps are mF (millifarads) or uF (microfarads). Those values don't seem right for power supply caps.

The selection isn't great but the only place I've seen multisection caps is here:

I'd have to look at the exact piece of equipment to see how much space is available before recommending individual caps. I'd also post on the newsgroup rec.audio.tubes (on usenet) or the appropriate forum on audioasylum.com for some guidance. Someone might have experience with your exact piece of equipment.

You are correct. My mistake. It's uF. It turns out I need two 50uF 400v, one 400uF 100v, and three 50 uF 300v electrolytics and two .2uF 10v radial disc coupling caps. Any recommendations??
