So I just got one of these bad boys today and the plug to go into an amp/receiver isn't an rca plug. It's a real thin cable with two wires, what is this? Sorry if this is a dumb but I'm only familiar with newer audio eqipment.

Could it possibly be a DIN connector you have? These were sold for use in Europe.

It's from Germany so that is possible. If so how would I be able to plug it into an American receiver. It will be going into a Fisher 500c, but I don't know if that has the right input.

Your best bet would be to replace the cord, if it's replaceable; otherwise, if you can't find an adapter, you'll need to snip off the plug, split the cable, and solder on a pair of RCA plugs.
