Steve, there are some wires that need to be replaced in my HK A500. Is there any special type of wire I should use that would sound the best?
Also, can anyone direct me to an online superstore that sells spools of fancy wire, deluxe power cord material, spike feet, caps, etc?

Just like what was there originally.

Thanks, Steve. The only thing I was wondering is if there was some wire that was shielded better or something.

Well, do you want to change the SOUND of the thing or just fix it?

Both, in a sense. I want the best possible sound the unit is capable of delivering.
I've replaced my internal speaker wire of my 23 year old speakers and it improved the sound. Clearer, more detailed. They shine now!
I'd suggest that unless you want to replace ALL the wiring, stick to something close to the original. If you tweak it using silver wires, you may not like the sound and may have to go back and put in "original" wires.
Have you tried the superball trick for feet? It works!
Interesting reading on continuous cast copper wire. Testimonials on how it sounds better than silver...
