Wow. This looks neat. Inexpensive, too! From Richard Wugang at Sophia Audio:

Tubes are inexpensive as well... Nice!
Limited production run, form what I can see on their site.

It's an attractive unit. Have not heard it.
I am puzzled by the S.E.T. Music (tm) name for an amp that is not a S.E.T. , Single Ended Triode, architecture but in fact a push-pull, pentode with negative feedback. Some SET amps use feedback.
As the review states, components matching is important.
I wish Sophia the success.

Hi,
I noticed that www.enjoythemusic.com has an extremely favourable review of the amp! Jeff

Geez, Steve - I read the title of this thread wrong and thought you were gonna review a new tubed baby monitor. My first thought was "he's gotta be kidding!" ;)
Anyway, the Sophia sounds like a nice piece of work. It seems to compare favorably with the Zen and that alone says a lot to me.

I saw one of these beauties at Audiogon.com for around $500. It sold fast!
