I just got back from Magnolia Hi-Fi - Never been there before. I demoed a pair of Vienna Acoustics Schonbergs. They are the aluminum encased speakers designed to be mounted on the wall (or placed close to the wall).
I currently own a pair of ADS L990s from 1987, and am in the market to upgrade.
I really liked what I heard in the Schonbergs.
But the real reason I got excited is because my listening room situation requires me to place one speaker in a corner and one near an open walkway. The sales rep said that because of their design, I wouldn't need to worry too much about the effects of my placement situation. What I really want are B&W 800 series speakers, but I am afraid that I won't be able to overcome the placement issue.
Can anyone offer any opinions or advice?
Thanks!
