I'm not a regular watcher of prime-time tv, so I only know what I see of the re-runs I watch to put me to sleep at night. The "Kate" character seems to have been replaced by an entirely new character, and all the footage of earlier shows used in the opening/closing scenes has no scenes of her. Something happen?

Christa Miller left the show just before the beginning of last season. She's been a recurring character on Scrubs, and had a baby since then.
