Steve,
I noticed that at the end of Creeque Alley, at 3:36, you can hear the Mamas and the Papas sing "--eee," which is the end of them singing the word "reality," which is the end of the line echoing "And California dreaming is becoming a reality."

Any idea what happened to the rest of the line and why we have just the "--eee"? How did it come up missing?

The first time I heard your mastering of "Dedicated to the One I Love," when the bass comes in at 0:34, I was stunned. Had to play it over and over. You do good work.

Regarding "Creeque Alley", it's just a bad mix. I must say that most of the songs on that original album, as great as they are musically, really suck, mix wise.

I can't remember if there is more than one mix of the song, but I have a 45 from the old days, and I remember that it didn't sound anything like the stereo LP version (and that's a good thing!) :)

Thanks, Steve. It must be a matter of different mixes then.

The missing line is on the 45, I'm pretty sure. I don't remember offhand about the LP mix--it probably is missing there though, considering one of the mixes must have the error.
