It's available. Here in Silicon Valley, Fry's Electronics has it for $16.99 in their Palo Alto store and it's $21.99 at the Tower Records stores in San Mateo and Mountain View.
You can also get a copy on the web from Elusive Disc (
http://www.elusivedisc.com/prodinfo.asp?number=SONSAM65922&variation=&aitem=8&mitem=273) for $17.99.

I picked it up last week, and it sounds good, better than any other digital release of this album.
I wouldn't go so far as to state that it is a sonic masterpiece - but it is somewhat better than the 1999 remaster which it is based on (since the SACD also has the bonus Ketchy Shuby instrumental track). The SACD brings out the bass more, and the low end is very much more defined. The highs are cleaner and clearer, but the anomolies of the master tape still show through. (This album was recorded in the late '70 in Jamaica, where I am sure they weren't using "state of the art" analog equipment.
The surround mix is a great one, very immersive. Alot of musical energy is pushed to the rear speakers, but not in a gimmicky way at all. This is one 5.1 mix that might just satisfy stereo purists and MCH freaks alike.
If you are a reggae fan or a Peter Tosh fan and have an SACD player, you can't go wrong.

Well, Universal Music Group (UMG) has announced their first batch of SACD discs. Bob Marley wasn't included on the list.
But who knows what will happen after that in terms of UMG SACD releases.
If the sales of the first group are good, anything can happen !
