Anyone here familiar with or you've heard Athena Tech speakers? I'm seriously considering replacing my little Optimus LX-5's with a pair of Athena Tech's AS-B1's. These were previously only available via internet but now they're in Best Buy stores and Soundstage.com gushed over them for the price they are. ($150-$180/pr., depending on who you buy them from). I primarily use my speakers for stereo listening.
Never heard of them. Can't imagine Best Buy having too much "audiophile quality" technology, though.... I could be wrong.
If they have metal tweeters, you may find them a bit harsh and fatiguing, though.... or at least I do.

Athena's have always gotten good write-ups in the Audio press. It seems that most of the good speakers companies these days come from Canada.
For that price they are definetly worth trying out.

At that price I would definitely check them out. I own the Axiom m22's, which are the model above the ones mentioned in this review (m3). The Axiom speakers are amazing, but like the review points out the Athena's price is a lot less.

Athena Technologies comes from the company (API) that brought you Energy and Mirage speakers.
Thanks, Rick! I should check them out for a surround system set up!
