For me Sly Stone in the 1960's and 1970's was the Funk.i have always thought about Sly- how could he all of a sudden one day decide that's it no more music.Except for a couple of song's on movie soundtracks in the latter 1980's Sly Stone has never released any new music.i have read that he has a studio record's lots of material but for some odd reason will not get down to finding a outlet so we can hear anything that he records.Over 15 years and not a single track.A true enigma.

I think drugs got the better of him... I could be wrong

Yes Sly had a bad drug problem but that was a long time ago.i
read a interview that someone did in 2001 with him at his home and in his home studio.he sat and played one song for the interviewer.Basically Sly said he was having trouble finding a label.i would think with the internet that even if you only wanted to sell 1000 copies of a cd i'm sure Sly fans would grab them as soon as he released any new material.I certainly would myself. He has a official web site-i think he needs to use it more for his financial benefit.
