I received the following question(s) in email for Steve, and I said I'd repost it here:

"Hi Steve - Would you ever consider a 180 gram that was from a digital source? The title I have in mind is Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Sky is Crying.

Also, ending on a glorious analog note, any interest in Stevie Wonder's
Innervisions? -- John"

Holy Zoo,

Sorry to jump in here but, Stevie Ray Vaughan: The Sky Is Cryin' is sourced from analogue not digital. It was put together from by Jimmie Vaughan from some basement tapes that Stevie didn't think were "good enough".

Hey Dave! Don't worry about jumping in, I'm not the guy who asked the question. :)

Regardless, I have always heard that this release was ADD or DDD. Is that information incorrect?

Dave,

Thanks for your 2 cents a while back on the SRV MOFI. It has become on of my favorite MOFI's along with Folk Singer & Layla.

Best - ED

You're very welcome Ed, glad to have been of help.;)

It sure blows away any other version of the same title doesn't it.

Still I'd probably, never mind, I would give my eye teeth to have Steve behind the wheel on SRV remasters.:D

Yeah me too Dave. I like the current remasters but I'd love to hear what Steve could do with these. Especially Texas Flood as that's just so bare bones and stripped down.

TSIC MOFI is breath taking ! Before I got it I thought, hmmm, OK it only came out a few years ago, how much can they really do with it ? After hearing the MOFI and being blown away answered that question. No wonder this baby is going for big bucks on Ebay & Half.com.

Happy Listening Amigo ! - ED
