Just recieved an E-mail from Tom Port (Better Records) with comments regarding that "willie and the poor boys on S&P may be better than the DCC version because the wiring was simpler in the mastering room at RTI. Any comments?:D

Do you have links to RTI and S&P?

Was Tom there? I don't remember seeing him. ;)
First of all "Willie" is not going to be on S&P, it's going to be an Analogue Productions release (Acoustic Sounds). Our new cut will be very close to the DCC version.
However, it was cut 1/2 db quiter and it was cut pretty much flat from the tape, so it will sound slightly different from the DCC pressing.
No need for you to have both, unless you love this album more than life.
Chad of Acoustic Sounds is mulling over a Creedence LP Box as well.....

I'm really intrested in comparing the S&P of "green River" to my original, and yes , I'm up for a box set. And I got an E-Mail from Better Records this morning.

Steve - please push for a boxed set, and while yer at it push for a cd set too - don't even need the gold, but this could be a good shot at getting the material from the Blue Velvets/Golliwogs stuff from the new Fantasy boxed set out in good sound and the classic lp's done right for those of us chowderheads who didn't snap up all the DCC gold releases when we had the chance!
