Earlier this year, I bought a Tascam 22-2 tape deck for my home studio. I'll be using it for slapback and also to "warm up" some digitally recorded tracks.
This one isn't too fancy. It's a 1/4" 2-track machine capabale at running 15ips. I bought the appropriate MRL Calibration Tape and some new Quantegy 456.
I am in need of three things: a demagnetizer, an editing block, and splicing tape.
Any of you analog nuts know a good source for the supplies?

Keith,
You can try here:
www.fullcompass.com
They may stock these items. If not, I believe they can readily obtain them for you.

BTW make sure you get "name brand" splicing tape, such as 3M. Don't ever make the mistake of trying to use the stuff Radio Shack sells!
Polyline corp. used to be where we got ours.

Oh yeah, those Radio Shack editing blocks won't last a week. Too soft!
Anybody have experience with the Tascam/Teac E-3 demagnetizer?

R.B. Annis Han-D-Mags are great demagnetizers.
