I remember getting excited about this when Neil mentioned it in a Rolling Stone interview in 1990 after Ragged Glory was released. So it's been, what, 12 years?!?

I stopped hoping "it'll be released this year" about four years ago ...

Neil seems consumed with his CSNY tour and the imminent release of his Are You Passionate? album right now, so I wouldn't think the box set is foremost in his mind ...

The last interview I saw was the highly publicized one about DVD-Audio. "Harvest" is supposedly done in DVD-Audio, and his comments were along the lines that the work he has been doing on the box set has taken a turn now that he's into DVD-Audio.

I don't think this project will ever see the light of day. If he does it in DVD-Audio the cost will be $160+. Unless Rhino Handmade or an outlet like that does it as a limited edition, I can't see Reprise backing that project.

The new issue of Listener magazine has an interview with Elliot Mazer, who (co-?)produced Harvest, and the interviewer (I forget who) clearly had heard the DVD-Audio mix and was quizzing him about it ...

So the DVD-Audio mix is done and, presumably, on the way.

Ah, Neil Young's box set... I believe that is slated to be released on the same day as the Beach Boys' Smile Sessions box set, the stereo versions of the Beatles' first four albums, and the remastered Blood on the Tracks with bonus tracks...

Yea, I heard about those, Czeskleba. Steve remastered all those, too. I understand that Blood on the Tracks will be hand delivered to the purchasers by someone called Bob.
