Steve,

Great hearing from you my friend! There IS still time to attend either show if you hurry. Anything you want me to keep an eye out for during both events? ALWAYAS glad to be of service.

Steven,

I'm always interested in ratios.

How many exhibitions use vinyl, SACD, CD, DVD-A.....

Tubes vs. transistors.

Horns vs. Planers, acoustic suspension speakers, etc.

Steve,

Will try to keep track. This IS Germany so you can expect a very heavy leaning towards analog :-) At the San Francisco show i expect to see very little vinyl and quite a bit of Home Theater and opther things digital. Different countries have different proportions. Brazil is about a 50-50 mix, Germany is about a 60-40, and i'd guess San Francisco will be 20-80 (vinyl to other ratio).

Steven,

if you get the chance or time could you keep an ear out for some of the seldom seen European tonearms like the Schroeder Reference, Breuer and Brinkmann. I would be very interested in reading your thoughts on these :)

All the best - Andrew
