Wondering if Steve Hoffman can tell us if he thinks the REAL original mastertape was used for this vinyl reissue? Given that he was apparently able to find that right tape for the DCC gold CD some time back! What does everyone think of the MIX...is this better savoured in STEREO or MONO???

Both, IMHO.
The sound is slightly different in each, just not "better". Love em both (Steve's DCC and the Sundazed Mono LP)

This disk actually contains one take that is not the same as stereo release. Thus it conforms exactly to the Columbia mono release. Give it a listen. (The gold CD release that is no longer available has the alternative take common to the stereo releases but sports the best sound quality treatment so far on CD.:p

I have an orginal mono release and the sundazed, I haven't done any A/B sessions but it sounds like the same tape. Nothingjumper out as that much different? The same with the other releases...

But that one tune I am talking about is a different take than the one on any of the stereo releases.
I've got the Sundazed issues of Times, Freewheelin' & Bringing it all and all I can say is......swwwwweeeeeet!
Also have the DCC Gold of '61......hmmmmm.....good.

...and on a different note, I dig being a Jr. Member again....I guess I like the regressing thing.....
