I guess it was in the old forum where somebody asked whether the "Venus & Mars" with 3 bonus tracks is the same as the one from the McCartney collection. I compared the U.K. McCartney remaster against the (also U.K.) "3 bonus tracks version" from 1987 which is also "Digitally Re-Mastered". The two versions are *NOT* identical. The "+3" version has some slight tape hiss which has been filtered out on the McCartney collection. Since Steve told us that "tape hiss is our friend", so this older remaster is sounding better at least from that perspective. And what counts more: It also sounds a little warmer than the (No Noised?) McCartney edition. The same can be said about the "Wings At The Speed Of Sound" CD.
