A positively electrifying performance. Any other thoughts?

I am in total agreement. And they actually sang and played. A welcome change from the crap we had to endure last year. The crowd seemed to be wild, too.

Yes, it was a refreshing change for halftime shows. The N'Sync/Britney Spears/Aerosmith (my god, what's happened to them?)/etc., etc. smorgasbord was such a bloated, soulless spectacle, it was great to see U2 come out and play it pretty straight for a rock concert.

Would have like to see a little more - but I guess football is the main attraction tonight. This little mini show brought back fond memories of the two times I saw U2 on the Elevation tour at the Continental Arena in June and October of 2001.

U2 was good. But they pay the crowd to be wild. I thought they looked ridiculous because they were going TOO wild. Jumping up and down like 10 feet in the air - super pogo. It was funny. :D

The thing that blew me away was that Sir Paul talked football better than Bradshaw could sing. :D
