I loved this series in the early 90s - think it only ran for two or three seasons but of all the shows going on to DVD, this one is way better than many I've seen (okay, all IMO!) and deserves going out on the format.
Doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon though....anyone catch this show back then, probably around 1990/1991 or so?
(Starred the excellent Gary Cole as a late night San Francisco talk show host, "Jack Killian", with Wendy Kilbourne and Arthur Taxier in support).
Other than Twin Peaks, this was my favorite series back when it was on. Didn't know anyone else watched it. I'd be shocked if it ever received a DVD release.
"Good night America, wherever you are."

It aired from '88 to '91. This was a great show. Cole used to end his radio show by saying "Good night America. Wherever you are." It'd be great to see it on DVD. But since the show used a lot of music, it may be having licensing issues.

ferdinandhudson,
You and me both! I had a crush on her as well. I would love to see this come out on DVD. I remember reading that this series really had a major struggle with their ratings through all the time they were on. It was amazing that they made it as far as they did.
I'll still never forget the fantastic episode with Julianne Phillips in it and one of the actors from the great Tour of Duty televsion show which had a section of "Midnight Rambler" from The Rolling Stones (Let It Bleed version) playing in the very dramatic scene towards the end of the episode.
...And the show always took place in San Francisco which is near and dear to my heart.

It was a Lorimar show which means it's now owned by Warner. So, no chance. You'll just have to live with your off air NBC records.

Too bad, although I think I have some of them taped. They occasionally do re-runs of it so I will try to remember to set the HDD recorder for it when they do.

I have maybe 2 dozen episodes on VHS tape from when it was on one of the cable networks maybe 10 years ago......
I also think it was very good, and about 18 times better than any of this drivel on TV today!
