Just saw a show i watch called SUPERNANNY-- with Wendy Wilson, her partner and there kids.

Supernanny comes to your house and helps you deal with your kids.
Wendy talked a few times about her dad (Brian).
Seems Beachboys fans got more of him than she did.
Absent even when he was home, kinda thing.
Here sister came round (carrie) and they did some harmonizing whilst dad (the father of her kids) dealt with the kids-- they have 4, and sis has a some too.
Saw pics of Wendy with dad, all very interesting.

We have this in England - Supernanny is like the new Jesus Christ - everyone wants a bit of her, even if they dont have any kids!

And they showed her onstage singing with Carnie...she's still pleasant to behold....

Well yeah she's British allright ( so am i)....
actually if you do have kids she's quite good ( i do and have tried some of her stuuf-- it works!)
But your comments are funny , i can imagine she's quite a superstar.

It was funny to see this mum (or mom as they say here) talking about her dad a lot -- and it's Brian Wilson!!!!!
Wacky.

They usually have two rather large parents in a big house somewhere in the USA with 2 outta control kids who have no rules or structure.

This episode was a repeat from a few months ago and I missed it. I like how Wendy said there was no structure in their lives and they could do anything. I know Brian was out of it, but I thought Marilyn held it together pretty well. Regardless, these Supernanny shows all present the same scenario, and it boils down to having too many kids.

Wendy is still cute. Lord, I had a huge crush on her.

Now, I get it. I am a little slow, I guess. I thought the original poster was saying Wendy Wilson was the Super Nanny. Thanks to the above youtube links I see that she Wendy appeared on the show.

I don't watch TV very often, but I actually like this show a lot. The family dynamics are fascinating, and Super Nanny is REALLY good at solving kid/parent problems.

Wendy didn't dwell on her upbringing, but what she did say spoke volumes - probably nothing that surprised Brian Wilson fans in the least, though.

Can a Gort retitle the thread from "Wendy Wilson in" to Wendy Wilson on"?

Sounds like she is starring in a show..

Thanks.

Wendy looks much more like her mother now than she did during the heyday of Wilson Phillips. I kind of wish her and Carnie would do more singing, and less stuff like this.

I watch Super Nanny occasionally though I have never made it through a whole episode. I like her as a person and the no nonsense, heartfelt approach. She is very much like many mother's I grew up around - very British/Canadian.
But this part bothers me and I suspect a lot has to do with being Canadian and how I was raised. I have never understood why people would voluntarily put them and their seemingly large financial/personal/familial problems on national tv for all to comment on. Because really, Wendy Wilson could afford to hire a super nanny privately to work it all out.

While watching I could only think that Wendy thought it might be good cross publicity for their shows. But maybe I am jaded. I know that for some of these shows there is a good cash incentive for airing it all out.

Has anyone here gone on to one of these shows and exposed their family / life? What was your experience like during and afterward?

I admire people who choose this route for their ability to weigh the downside and shoulder the publicity. I think there is value in sharing the trials and tribulations of life. Being Canadian though we don't do it as a rule. There are no Canadian Super Nanny shows or Jerry "Canuck" Springer tv. We get on with it and don't make too big a deal out of anything. It's why you can't be a multi millionaire suing someone in Canada for hot coffee or such. We think you were an idiot, didn't use common sense to protect yourself and don't think you deserve the amount of money though we won't begrudge a bit.

Now there is a personal family debt show that is popular. That's a very Canadian thing. We like managing money and like to feel superior to those who don't.
