Help me identify this prolific commercial actor

For at least the last twenty years I've noticed one particular actor who appears in commercials constantly. He is the Samuel L. Jackson of commercials. Seriously, I don't think a day goes by that I don't see him in at least one spot. He usually plays a coach, a dad or any other assortment of "regular guy" roles. Here's a screen cap from a recent Diet Pepsi commercial:

Has anyone else noticed this guy or know what his name is? James Lipton should dedicate an episode of Inside The Actor's Studio to this guy.

Well...it certainly doesn't help that his eyes are almost closed and he has a hat on which casts a shadow on his face.

I have a TiVo recorder and haven't watched "live" TV in about 5 years now...I just zip past all the commercials, so I can't help ya.
