That's good news, indeed. I am sure we have had this debate before but I am really only interested in purchasing the black & white episodes before Tim Considine left the series and before William Frawley passed away.

Those had the legendary Capitol Hi-Q Produciton Music (consisting of, among others, the in house library, Cinemusic/Langlois Film Music Library, Sam Fox Film Music, EMI Photoplay Music, Synchro-Fox, Music for Films Incorporated, Structural Music,Inc. and Cadkin & Bluestone, )
Gumby used those (as did six Looney Tunes in 1958 and portions of some others around that time), and so did Hanna-Barbera thru late 1960s overlapping with Hoyt Curtin & Ged Nichols) and many many other shows, on TV and radio, radio commercials, intermission reels during both drive in and cinema theatre and even amusement parks, as well.
The Gumby shorts had been resoundtracked due to musicians rights in 1988 but have been (Classic Media's recent "The Gumby Essentials")_ restored and hopefully the people outting My Three Sons on DVD (Paramount/Viacom, probaly only it aired on ABC and CBS, so Disney, who used its star Fred MacMurray in many classic live aciton comedies as everyone knows--suprirse that Fred MacMurray never voiced in any Disney cartoons!), who now owns ABC, may rival the owners of the older needledrop music (not counting the composer of some of those, Frank DeVol's, who evenutally composed music directly for MTS, "Family Affiar", & "Brady Bunch" as most know here),, will have no porblem (outside black and white and that overweight man who's Uncle Charley's "stand in" (Bub), never mind HE WAS the ORIGINAL male hiousekepper--like the Curly/Shemp thing with the Three Stooges).
Okay..Just checked the site and it IS half of the first 36 episodes.

sad but true...they decided to play that game as well...very frustrating for the hard core fans of these lost shows on DVD! pure 100% greed...

Doesn't matter. They'll only release a set or two before they stop for no apparent reason anyway.

Ditto.
"Uncle Charley" was a poseur.
"Bub" was the real deal.

Liked the Meredith MacRae seasons (she was "Sally," Tim Considine's girlfriend/wife - later "Petticoat Junction" fame as Billie Joe #3).
Now... how about The Patty Duke Show on DVD?!? I'd even settle for a "Best of the 3 seasons" on 1 volume, but please! Somethin'!

Egads. This thing ran for 12 seasons. We could be looking at 24 purchases.
(And yeah, I know most of you hate the colour episodes passionately and won't be buying them anyway.)

The color MTS episodes were almost as bad as the color Andy Griffith Show episodes.
Almost.

By the late 1950's there probably wasn't as much goin' on in their animation front anymore for him to be involved with.

I remember enjoying the black and white episodes on Nick At Nite. Is the show running on local syndication anywhere?
