[note from Holy Zoo: I've just used a forum feature called "split thread" to pull this Who's Next discussion out Jeffrey's post, since it was sideways to the discussion he was trying to have. I don't plan on using this feature very often, mostly I wanted to give it a try to see how it worked.]
Anyone know where I can get a copy of Steve's "Who's Next" at this point. There are a few choices at cdnow and I don't want to waste any more money on this title unless I get the best (Steve's). Thanks

What is the correct catalog number for Steve's remaster of Who's Next... if anyone knows...
Romanotrax,
The Who: Who's Next is a Canadian issue and the number is MCABD-37217.
If you're interested I have a couple of these sealed for sale. Email me.;)

Let me just reiterate what many others here have said -- I recently got this from HMV.ca, and it's INCREDIBLE. Better overall than any other version I've heard, including original US and UK vinyl.
You really must get it if you like this album at all -- especially for the pittance they're charging!

I was able to get Steve's Who's Next Canadian CD at a Wal-Mart like store called Pamida in this area for $6.99 and bought it, although I had a CD-R of it already. The CD is very life-like.

If you're looking for the Canadian Who's Next, A&B Sound has it, and at a better price than HMV. I've used them several times & been very happy with their service.

I went the HMV route, and if memory serves correctly, the entire cost *including* shipping was under $10. Bargain of the century! :)
Anyways, Steve's WN is dramatically better than the other non-Steve MCA WN that I have. I haven't done the comparison with the remix yet though.
Everyone,
Please don't waste your money on the remaster, like a friend of mine did. It's very sterile sounding ie. flat, lifeless and gross amounts of compression, a definate ear bleeder if ever I've heard one.
My friends comment after hearing Steve's version was " I've been totally f'in ripped off".
I have the remix /remaster. Uggghh! Don't bother with it.
Nice packaging, though. As if the packaging counts!
