Just got the season finale here in Aus, 4 months later!
This is exactly like what happened on House, it's such a cop-out :thumbsdn:
Tony and McGee are what made NCIS good! I couldn't imagine the show without their petty bickering
I don't think we will have to wait too long before they are back together. This is only my guess, though.

Apparently, they're all still seperated, at least for the first few episodes. But have no fear, they'll all find their way back. As far as I know, no one (except Lauren Holly) was written off the show.
I'm actually glad they got rid of her. When they announced someone was going to die, I was really rooting for her to go. She was definitely the least-essential member of the cast.

Have no fear - they'll be back. Best thing on the box for me.

Thankfully I didn't open this thread until now. The season finale just aired this week here in Oz. The last scene was surprising but I thought they just had to renegotiate their contracts during the break.
Would not be the same without Tony, Ziva and McGee.

Like it was said earlier... the director might come back no one saw her body..

I agree. I never thought that she fit in very well. Holly was pretty unconvincing as the Director, especially when the character was portrayed with a background as a super spy/ field agent and a killer with a secret personal agenda/ vendetta. As well, I thought that the (supposed) sexual tension between her character (Jenny Shephard) and Gibbs (Mark Harmon) was non-existent.

Yeah, she didn't do much for me either
Whenever I saw her I kept expecting Jim Carrey with a chipped tooth to come running up to her with a briefcase....

I'm kind of tired of the wise guy stuff that Tony does, I welcome him back without the probie crap and the other silly stuff.

One thing puzzles me about 'Judgement Day'; after the gun battle at the end, there's a short gap then two or three distinct handgun shots after everything else. Any ideas?.

My guess - Director Shepard was shooting one her dead assailants in the face so Tony and Ziva would misidentify the corpse as herself.

Thats the old guy (Franks?) that calls Gibbs probie.
He walks in after the shoot-out and puts an "extra one" into each of the bad guys heads. They showed it in the second hour of the finale.

And, presumably, Duckie the coroner....

And, presumably, Duckie the coroner....
Well, maybe ...
In Duckie's lab, he opens a body bag which should contain the Director to discover a man. His assistant says, "Sorry, I must have mixed up the bodies. The Director must be on this other table". [Every examination/ autopsy table in the lab has a body bag on it.] Duckie is about to open the next body bag when Gibbs enters the lab. Duckie has a few words with him, but does not get around to opening the other body bag. The viewers never see him revealing (to us and himself) and examining the Director's corpse.
And IIRC, the Director's body is never shown after the shoot-out.
It's just a theory, but I would not be surprised if the Director turns out to be still alive.

According to an interview I read with one of the producers she ain't comin' back and she's as dead as a doornail. Now a flashback episode might allow her to come back as a guest but I don't think so.
I was a bit shocked at the season finale but in a good way.
Of course it could all be a trick.
As for CSI: Miami I think that it's all a trick and Davey WILL be back which is too bad because she (and the blond gal on the show who has NO acting ability at all)could exit and I could care less.

And that's good, because the show wouldn't be the same without them. I love the hamminess of Horatio, and I admit he's 98% ham. But to say Emily Procter can't act...huh???
Anyway, I'm glad you're glad they'll be back.

Ah; we've had it split into two parts here in the U.K. First part last week, second part is tomorrow night.

The finale of CSI Miami was just as shocking to me. What will the series be like without David Caruso?
Watchable. For a change.

I'm not certain whether I've made it through an entire episode of "CSI: Miami" because the acting generally from everyone is not good. (The terrible scripts, especially the dialogue, doesn't help either.) I wouldn't say Proctor is terrible or can't act, but her performances on "The West Wing" were much, much better than anything she's done on "Miami". Caruso's performances are hammy and pretentiously bad, but entertaining in a twisted way. I find the worst acting on that series is from Khandi Alexander as the M.E. Not just atrociously bad but unintentionally creepy.
But then again, all of them are probably making the best money they ever will in their careers - and far more than I ever have or ever will.

I think that it will be revealled that the Director is still alive, but other than a flashback or a cameo appearance that character (and actress) is gone from the series.

I'm not certain whether I've made it through an entire episode of "CSI: Miami" because the acting generally from everyone is not good. (The terrible scripts, especially the dialogue, doesn't help either.)The scriptwriting on all three is the worst television has to offer, mainly because of the terrible exposition. Hearing each of them explain to one another the technical minutiae of each little bit of the job is maddening. The character being explained to knows and understands what the one explaining is talking about OR S/HE WOULDN'T HAVE THE JOB.
Somehow, CSI: HORATIO manages to have fun with the show in spite of this kind of clunkiness. I love Emily Procter. You're right that she was much better on The West Wing, but the writing on that show was so much better. So I don't blame her for the horrible writing on CSI: HORATIO. Adam Rodriguez is the one who drives me nuts as an actor. Sometimes "Delko" just can't make it through one of the awful lines he has to say without smirking. But I just take that as yet another unintentionally humorous moment.
The other two CSIs I can't watch. Maybe if they could ham it up like Horatio...

My friend works on NCIS. It's not going anywhere, but there are some changes being made. The cast and crew were asked not to divulge anything.
