Please check out the trailer and any info. on the net for a new film just released called "Young At Heart"

This is a wonderful documentary about a group of senior citizens who are in a choir supervised by a great director/conductor and they sing modern Rock/Pop songs (and even a James Brown classic!)

I saw this last night and I have to say that this is one of the funniest, sweetest and most wonderfully up-lifting movies I have ever seen.

Please, please, please give this some of your attention (research it for yourself and get out to see it!)

Anyone who loves music, enjoys a good documentary and likes a sweet and funny movie, this is it!

I predict this will be a word-of-mouth film; ie. people will see it and tell others to go.

It's really terrific and I wish (and hope) some forum members here give it some attention as I'm convinced that many here, being so into music (and film), would absolutely love it!

It's that good!

Its been heavily promoted in this region at previews. Plus I think 60 Minutes did a piece on it recently.

:righton: Everyone in the theatre I was in on Friday night were blown away.
They all loved it (some were going to bring their parents to see it)
I'll rent it eventually to show my folks (who are 75 this year)

It's a heart-tugger, isn't it?

The performance of the Coldplay song at the end would move even the stoniest soul.

One thing I was curious about that the movie never really addresses is how and why the members, who by and large were not rock and roll fans, were compelled to join a group that sings rock songs. I mean, it's obvious that it's fun, but I would have been interested to hear some of them talk about why they joined that group and not something more traditional.

"Four Sisters" is better than "Young At Heart." It has John Garfield in the role Oscar Levant was born to play instead of Frank Sinatra in the role Oscar Levant was born to play. What's more Garfield dies a proper death...Sinatra survives the suicide attempt.

That old guy singing "Fix You" has become an internet sensation. He really does bring out the beauty of that song.

I'll end up renting this movie though.

They trusted the guidance and opinion of their conductor Bob (who seems like a really great guy)
I think they found it an interesting challenge and it was fun for them. It seemed to make them feel happy & "young at heart" didn't it!

Fix You is a song I never liked, nowever now I like it (by the old fella; he improves Coldplay's version):D

It's just OK...if you've seen the trailer and the "60 Minutes" piece, you've seen enough...

I disagree. I see many many movies and this one moved me in a unique and unforgettable way.

It's rare that I come out of a movie theatre feeling the mixed emotions I felt after seeing "Young At Heart".

I was captivated by it's charm.

WOW!!! I finally saw this movie. I can't remember when I've had as HUGE a SMILE on my face from seeing any movie. It's like seeing that Susan Byle video for the first time, real joy! Highly recommended for music lovers!

This is an amazing movie. I agree with the other folks who mentioned the heartbreaking performance of Coldplay's "Fix You." As I listened/watched it I tried as hard as I could not to cry, but it was impossible. But words can't really do it justice here, you just have to see it.
