Jericho
Threshold
Star Trek (the original)
Invasion
In each case the acting was very good and the execution excellent. There are far more but the names of the shows escape me. My memory sucks :(
Now we get reality crap.
And your nomination is?

Star Gate SG1...At least the new films is nice but if you did not watch the show, you will not have a clue what is going on.
I can't remember tha name but about 8 years ago the guy was hit by a subway train and they put his Brain into a super body but the catch was he could not contact anyone from his past life. It was great but did not last beyond a first season and it ended on a cliffhanger.

I'm hoping that Jericho will be picked up by the Sci-Fi channel and continue with new episodes. At least their still in the "talking" stage, so there's a glimmer of hope :)
Going back in time I was disappointed when Quantum Leap was cancelled.
These are a few others, of course mostly "oldies" that I enjoyed watching that were cancelled. I enjoyed the originals more than the remakes :) Thank goodness for DVD's releasing some of these and also cable tv to have them replaying :)
Lost In Space
Star Trek - original and a few other series
The Twilight Zone - original and one of my favorite shows :)
The Outer Limits
The Wild, Wild West
Battlestar Galactica - original series
Mystery Science Theater 3000 :righton:
I know there's still more...........

I really agree with your pick of Invasion. Great acting, great story but it seemed like a lot of people thought it was too slow (I thought the pacing was just right).
I thought Star Trek: Enterprise was finally starting to hit its stride when it was cancelled. That show should have had a few more years.
From the stupid-but-funny category I loved Quark from the 70's. I was only about 15 when it ran so I'm not sure how it would hold up for me today.

Agree with THE INVADERS and of course STAR TREK (even ENTERPRISE), but I was crushed when THE TIME TUNNEL was cancelled in 1967.

I thought Surface was one of the best shows I had ever seen. It deserved more of a run.
First Wave was a great show. But it had a finale so I guess it wasn't really cancelled.
Babylon 5also had a finale. Great show.
Would Point Pleasant qualify under the Sci Fi heading? This show was really just hitting speed when it was cancelled.
Wolf Lake another show that was just getting good.
Birds Of Prey - Wow, I loved this show. Batman's daughter? How did this one miss?
I will be missing DEAD ZONE and the 4400. I understand what happened with the DEAD ZONE. Killing Walt was probably a bad idea, yet I thought it opened a lot of new story avenues.
The 4400 had a lot of potential stories left.
The Invaders was one of my all time favorite series. I would have liked to see it go another season. At least we are FINALLY getting it on DVD.
The Planet of the Apes TV series. I got the DVDs of this and it really wasn't that bad. They had Roddy McDowall and Urso was an interesting character.
I guess the masses just don't understand SCI-FI.

Not sure if it's really Sci Fi, but the one that popped into my head was "Nowhere Man"

Lots of good ones mentioned. Here's some UK titles:
The original series of Doctor Who (luckily it's been brought back)
Tripods (all we have is series one and two; what would have been the third and final series was never filmed)
Blake's 7
Showtime had an interesting sci-fi show called Odyssey 5 that was only on for 20 episodes or so.
