:righton:

The awesome Rick Baker did the make up.

Holy $$$$$ that looks cool!!!!

It's very much the way the Wolfman was done in the [1941] original [starring Lon Chaney].

very cool. Especially with all of the realistic facial features like the teeth and nose and hair, my eyes are still drawn towards the eyes.

rick baker does excellent work, and del Toro is a great actor, but no Universal Horror has been bettered by a remake, imo. I wish them the best!

I'm sure they'll be plenty of special effects, gore, blood, blood and more blood...

Not so many (obvious) special effects - it's a period piece - but yes, lots of blood and gore. :D

The werewolf is one of those movie ideas that never dies, isn't it?

Indeed he does. He also has a wicked cool private "museum" in his studio filled with props and "masks" of many of his creations. Really awesome to behold.

The original always reminded me of a very despirate man. If he can catch that despiration it should be good.It wasnt all about some scarey monster.

Well, you'd have to use a silver bullet or...cane...

Unless they can come up with a radically different story, I don't know how much interest there will be.

With "The Mummy" at least Stephen Sommers went off in his own direction compared to the original film(s).

We'll see...all of the remakes of "Frankenstein" (or I guess new versions would be more accurate since its based on a novel and "The Wolfman Isn't nor was "The Mummy")and I personally feel that they've only done justice to the story once where it made a big difference ("Frankenstein: The True Story" and even Ken Braugh's version of "Frankenstein" had its interesting points).

With Del Toro aboard I think we'll see a character driven movie rather than a silly slasher type film.

That would be cool. I wonder what kind of filming they will use in this? I think it would be neat to have a touch of the old look. I dont know squat about cinematography. But you know what I mean?

Earlier RDK said it was a "period piece", so I'm guessing the look will be old style.

Nicholson couldn't save a poorly-written re-make (Wolf).

Takes more than make-up... is there anything resembling a writer on this retread?

Are there no original horror scripts out there?
