I have all of the Herzog films but I also have the rare U.K. only DVD release of Kinski Paganini which he directed, the documentary of the making of the film is a trip with him forcing a woman to do outtake after outtake of him rehearsing cunnilingus on her for a scene.
Kisnki was intense and, as Herzog states, "makes Brando seem like a picnic."
A bunch of Jess Franco films come to mind.
Count Dracula. Kinski plays Renfield.
Also Justine. Kinski plays Marquis De Sade.
I think he showed up in Franco's Venus in Furs as well.

I have a box of Herzog and Klaus Kinski.
It has these movies:
Aguirre, the Wrath of God
Cobra Verde
Fitzcarraldo
My Best Friend - Klaus Kinski
Nosferatu
Woyzeck
This is art on the very high level, if you ask me. I haven’t seen them all yet, but my favorite is Fitzcarraldo. Great, great movie!

Yes, you are quite right! :righton:
”My Best Fiend (German: Mein liebster Feind - Klaus Kinski, literally My Dearest Enemy - Klaus Kinski) is a 1999 documentary film by Werner Herzog about his tumultuous yet productive relationship with German actor Klaus Kinski. It was released on DVD in 2000 by Anchor Bay.”

Although not an "obscure" film, Kinski was also great in "For A Few Dollars More," especially the scene when Van Cleef struck and lit a match against his hunchback, which the Kinski character did not appreciate at all.

Two of his best roles and films.
The Great Silence
Crawlspace
Also ''A Bullet For The General'' but that one's not so obscure,or is it.

And Nosferatu is actually called Nosferatu the Vampyre. At least it was here in the US. Sorry if I'm being picky.

No problem, you are absolutely right!
The original title is Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht.

Maybe Nastassja had a beautiful mother ;)
Obscure films with Klaus Kinski? I guess most Herzog films are obscure...
Klaus was also in "Shanghai Joe", played a character named Scalper Jack. "Shanghai Joe" was a weird kung-fu western which had some very violent scenes. I think it was eventually banned in Finland.
