"There's nothing like the sound of a Silvertone stereo..."
OR:
"I really dig Henry Mancini's music, but why does it always put me to sleep?"

If music be the food of love,
Sing on till I am fill'd with joy;
For then my list'ning soul you move
To pleasures that can never cloy.
Your eyes, your mien, your tongue declare
That you are music ev'rywhere.
Pleasures invade both eye and ear,
So fierce the transports are, they wound,
And all my senses feasted are,
Tho' yet the treat is only sound,
Sure I must perish by your charms,
Unless you save me in your arms.
Colonel Henry Heveningham
All theat time spent with Uncle Albert paid off.
All the best - Andrew

Can't think of a clever caption, but you'd think Marilyn would know better than to paw that LP like that [or is she spinnin' 78s?].

I've got that picture in 3-D, as well as some others of Marilyn. It's from a book titled "3-D Hollywood" and it contains photos taken in 3-D by Harold Lloyd. Neat stuff.

I think I'd have to say, "Marilyn, sweetie? You know we don't touch our albums like that, we hold the edges, with our fingertips. Here, let me show you how."
Then I'd carefully remove the album from her delicate hands and run it over to the cleaning machine to rinse the Martini Marilyn was drinking off of it. Then I'd suavely mix a new batch of fresh Martinis for Marilyn and myself, loosen up my smoking jacket, light a Lucky Strike for her, then put on a Perez Prado LP, and mambo, baby, mambo!

Yup! and Johnny says to Bobby;...I put a ton of it in her drink and she's still standing! Geez, Better do her before she goes...I left the empty on her nightstand...;)
Good captions, guys:D
The book of Harold Lloyd's stereographic photography from which this photo is taken is OOP, but I found one place that has new copies for $29.95, including the 3-D viewer! :
Reel 3-D Enterprises, Inc. (

Lloyd was present at the famous Phillipe Halsman photo sessions with Marilyn and there are several very nice portraits of her from that day. I also like this one:
