I am looking to pick up this set, but have some confusion. Does it come in a box that contains all the sets or do you just get all the individual season sets, as if you had purchased each season when as they were released? I saw one add that had a box with the A&E Network on it. I'd really appreciate some help on this one. It looks like some people are selling bogus sets, and I don't want to waste my money. Thanks Dennis

I purchased them as they were released so I have the individual sets. I was not aware that any set was released with all the seasons in one box, but anything is possible (although I have never seen a set like that for myself).

I've bought all of The Sopranos box sets, and for what I know, they are only available individually. A set with all of the seasons would be a cool idea, but it would be prohibitively expensive. All of those season box sets are list priced at $99.99. Though I bought all of mine at Costco for considerably less. The earlier seasons(when you can find them there) are discounted at around $54 a piece.
I'm certain of this, but if you see the A&E logo on those sets, they might be the versions that have been edited for content by A&E, and not the original uncut episodes shown on HBO. So proceed with caution.

Amazon has this 1 - 6.2 box set and it appears to be the episodes as originally aired on HBO. I read a couple reviews, and they didn't mention anything about them being the A&E versions. However, if the package you saw said A&E, I would guess they are the A&E versions.
Oh, and this set is $514.99 at Amazon.:bigeek:

And you're acting surprised? How else do you believe Silvio Dante's hospital bills or Terry and Matt Bonpensiero's college funds will be paid?
It's fair to assume some middleman in New Jersey got his share...
And, to my knowledge, there hasn't been any DVD released of the A&E cut of the Sopranos, it's likely a repackaging of previous sets.

There would be no reason to release this in the cut version (unless they put them in there as alternate versions because they used alternate takes, etc.) and it would cost too much to redo the transfers, etc. for this home video release. I suspect it is the original release.
I'm waiting to see if HBO will be releasing the whole series in a Blu-ray version first although the price for all of these sets I think are waaaaaaaaaay too expensive. HBO series have always been priced at a premium without extra value for the fan.

Nah. Not really surprised. The A&E logo on the set seems confusing though.

You can get all the boxes used for a fraction of the price.
Try half.com. $20 per season is about right, maybe $28.
