I enjoyed this show as a kid and glad to see that it is finally getting released on DVD format in June . I also noticed reading this posting regarding it's release that Neil Young & Stephen Stills appeared in an episode as well as Neil Diamond . I certainly don't recall seeing those episodes but look forward to seeing them . Anyone remeember ssing those episodes before?

I do not recall those episodes, and if you read the article over on the tvshowsondvd web-site it says that the first season shows were never included in syndication packages since the show was changed a lot after that season. The tough loner that everyone remembers as Mannix started in the second season, during the first season he was working for someone else. I am looking forward to seeing these, but I wonder if some old fans of the show might be put off if these episodes are not the way they remember the show.

This is good news. Used to love that show. And the Lalo Schifrin theme was great.

Anxious to check out the 1st season, yet Gail Fisher as Mannix's gal Friday, Peggy, gave the show its heart and soul. I always loved it when she'd announce a visitor for Mannix over the intercom: "Joe, there's a young woman here to see you, and she's quite a knock-out."

I remember watching this show when it first aired in the '60s. The thing that I remember most about this show is that my mother had a huge crush on the guy who played Mannix. Kids don't normally think their parents that way.

that's nice...it'll be nice to see better prints (hopefully) than what's out there now.

I really enjoyed the first season, much more so than the second format. After he went out on his own, all of the episodes followed the same formula. If you've seen one Mannix, you've seen them all.

Don't throw them out just yet. You never know how many seasons you will see on DVD.

Amen. If how the show did in syndication is any indication of how it will do on DVD, don't count on many releases.

...and I also would love to have the short lived series "Bronk" with Jack Palance. I really enjoyed that show...

Yeah , that was another show I really enjoyed too. It was weird to me when I first saw the show the first few times because I just kept thinking about Jed Clampet when watching Barnaby and couldn't help but laugh at times. It was a good show though.

Another show I liked (from the 80's) was "Jake and The Fat Man".
