This is news I never thought I'd see, but according to TVShowsonDVD.com (
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Square-Pegs-Complete-Series/9059) Sony is releasing Square Pegs - the "complete series" on May 20th to tie in with the release of Sex and the City: The Movie. :goodie: Since the whole series is just one season, maybe Sony will do the right thing and secure all of the necessary music licenses. I have my fingers crossed that this one will arrive intact.

He played Kirk's son in one of the Star Trek flicks!
This was a great show!

Anyway, it'll be nice to have a legitimate copy of this. Now, when's It's Your Move (another short-lived sitcom, which was also Jason Bateman's first TV starring role) coming out?

I like that episode! Johnny Slash forms a rock band to play at the supermarket he works in after school. There's a running joke that he's going to get the drummer of the Doors in the band. At the end of the show, you see the band playing in the supermarket and John Densmore is playing drums. I guess that was before he could live off his CD royalties. Can't remeber the name of the band, but maybel they'll reform and add "of the 21st Century" to their name.:)

Wasn't the song they did called "I'm Tired" or something like that? I still have it on a cassette somewhere. I also like the ep where Johnny joined the baseball team. They told him they were playing an away game, and he said, "Away from what?"
I'll definitely be in line to buy this.

Remember the episode where Johnny had the crush on Jennifer? To this day if I hear the name 'Jennifer' my brain automaticlly processes "Fennifer".

That's funny - me too. I think that he picked out her name for a Kris Kringle gift or something and he couldn't make out the hand writing. "Who's Fennifer?"

I know I liked "Pegs" when it aired, but I honestly can't remember a single moment from the show - OTHER than "Fennifer"...

Yes it is. One of the cable networks I have on DirecTV shows the PJ's at night during the week. I've seen it on a few times over the past couple weeks.

One of the funniest things I've seen on TV in the last 25 years!
Pretty racy and thus cancelled before it found it's audience. It was laugh out loud funny!

Late to the dance as usual but I really look forward to this series on DVD! I chuckled my *** off when it was on the first time and chuckled again when it was on On Demand a few months back.

I completely agree. THE PJ'S was as good as THE SIMPSONS at its peak, with more pointed political and social satire. I wonder if its DVD release is muddied by having been on two networks, Fox and WB.
I'll just Netflix SQUARE PEGS. To be honest, I wonder if it's still going to be funny after twenty years.
