A few months ago I was surfing my HD channels and came across a scene where a Japanese officer encounters a 'ghost soldier' emerging from tunnel. The ghost soldier, not realizing he was dead, pleads w/ the officer to help him find his way home to see his family.

The emotions conveyed by the actors, the camera work and cinematography were absolutely riveting. Unfortunately I did not take note of the film's title.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Akira Kurosawa's "Dreams"

Thanks so much. I saw this while my wife was hospitalized and between working and taking care of my wife and child's needs I had days where I could literally fall asleep standing up with my eyes open.

Everythings cool now (and this was one of the few moments of personal enrichment I had experienced through the wife extended hospital stay).

Can't wait to see the film

Glad to here everything is back to normal in your family. My wife had foot surgery 2 weeks ago, and is pretty much laid up, so I completely understand where you're coming from. After 4 nights on the couch I finally made one of my kids move to the floor so I could commandeer their bed.

8 weeks strict bed rest due to high risk pregnancy and I was tending to our four year old son to boot. We came out of it with a beautiful baby girl so it was worth the hardship...

Congrats to your family! It's nice when the reward is more than worth the effort.
