OK, if the Gorts wanna ban me for this go ahead, I don't care. :P

I watched this last night.

I LIKED THIS. IT WAS FUN. THE MUSIC WAS CATCHY. THE 3D WAS GREAT (RealD DLP). THE SOUND MIX WAS FINE.

Its your typical music documentary type movie (behind the scenes stuff and interviews between songs, etc.) Basically it covers the show preparation, rehearsal, choreography and some logistics for the HM/MC 'Best of Both Worlds' tour (that kicked off in St. Louis, IIRC) and of course the concert itself.

The first half of the show is Miley in her HM character doing music from the show (most of which i have never heard until viewing this movie). Then in the middle there is a performance by some act (presumably another Disney Channel creation) called the 'Jonas Brothers' and they do a couple songs, one of them with Miley as HM.

Then the second half of the show starts: This is the 'Meet Miley' portion- she does several more tunes, to include one she wrote that was dedicated to her late grandfather (she plays acoustic guitar on it as well). Billy Ray makes several appearances during the movie (and co-wrote at least one of the songs in it), and there are is a scene featuring one radio station's contest featuring a bunch of hopeful fathers running a 100 yard dash in high heels in the hopes that they would score a set of tickets to the concert.

It will probably placate the children of those parents that couldn't pawn the minivan to afford a pair of tix for the real concert, and the 3D does make it seem as you are there (as it did with the U2 movie).

Flame away. :P

I missed the actual concert, I sent my wife and daughter but I may catch this in a theater.

I love anything 3D. I though U2 in 3D was wonderful.

I took my daughter to this today. I must admint. It was excellent. The 3D was not "overdone" and the sound was excellent.

18 bucks a ticket!

That's because RealD Inc. forces theatres to add a licensing fee to every ticket sold...

I think we are charging $12 a ticket here for it tho.

Disney is adding at least one more week to the run- it might go yet another week after that (we received notice that the opening of U23D will be moved back because of it)

Check your local listings.
