I was a already a fan of his and watching his latest interviews here in my place (He's in Brazil to promote I Am Legend), I can't go without saying how classy and down-to-earth he seems to be. Always attentive and good humoured. You know, I wish all actors and singers could deal with public and media the way he does. Way to go Will! :righton:

Indeed, he has the golden touch. He's also an underrated actor as well.

I think he's an example for kids due the respect he's got with his fans. Will gets to show how you can be down-to-earth and a movie star without forgetting his ordinary roots. You know, he's aware actors and singers can hit the top just because people buy records and tickets. That's basically what differs the big star's life to the other folks.

He has done quite well in his transformation from rapper to actor, whereas a few others have failed. Some have said he is "safe", but as many have said, he seems to be down to earth and grounded, and that's a lot better than what could be said about other people in Hollywood.

I agree, he seems like a very nice guy. I just hope the scientology rumours about him are false. A mind is a terrible thing to waste...

I doubt that. He and his wife from what I can recall have been seen going to Scientology meetings, hanging with Tom Cruise, etc. but it doesn't diminish my respect for him as an actor. At least he's not doing the Tom Cruise thing.

I don't have the inside story on Cruise, but I feel a bit for the man when reach such level of stardom. Some people simply go nuts due the whole Hollywood thing...such harrassment and stuff...mags and tabloids rabid after his private business etc. I wish press could care much more about films, acting and culture than the theories and rumours about the odd sexual and religion issues that surround them.

He seems to be devoted to his wife and kids plus both of them juggle their careers.. Hard to do and I give him tons of credit.

But one can say he's made a nice progress in this case. He's really great on Legend.

Amen.:righton:
He may not be as ''well grounded '' as Will Smith, but the majority of the press is a lot crazier then he is.By the way i think ''Collateral'' should have received an Oscar nomination as well as his performance in it.Sometimes there's no justice in this world.

Nice point. And Collateral is just an awesome movie, I simply loved it.
Oh, Will Smith connection here, by the way. His wife on it.
Cruise and Smith should be in a movie together! :righton:

I'm sure that thought has crossed their minds. They'll probably wait out the ''right project''.
This would possibly be the biggest pairing since Newman and Redford in ''Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid''.The two of them in a big scale ''spaghetti western'' would be cool.

I agree wholeheartedly. It would be "the event". and picking the right screenplay, the right producers and director (of course, a great plot) it'll smoke out the box officess like never before.

Another trivia - particulary a Brazilian one. Cruise has saved - not one, but 2 - Brazilian girls IN REAL LIFE. Can you believe that?

Going back to the topic, I'm looking forward to see Smith playing a bad guy. Do you think this might happen soon? It'd be cool.

Amazing that the US or UK press hasn't picked up on this.

Got this from the E! site:
In 1996, Cruise came to the rescue of people on three different occasions. March saw him take a Brazilian woman felled by a speeding car to the hospital and pay her $7000 bill when he found out she was without health insurance. Four months later, he spotted two young boys being crushed by surging crowds at the London premiere of "Mission: Impossible" and pulled them to safety, and then four weeks after that while yachting, he rescued five people when a nearby sail boat caught fire.
