That's the equivalent of an "Under Construction" banner on a website.

Bleah!

Well yes, but it is a teaser after all. It shows just enough to get the public aware of/excited about the movie and I think it does that quite well.

I watched it and I couldn't see anything that resembled a teaser.I'm not even sure what I just saw.

A lot of teasers have no footage from the actual finished film in them (mostly because there isn't enough usable footage filmed yet).

I was expecting a preview.

I was expecting a preview.

Don't expect the full trailer 'till sometime around June or July (by my guess). But there might be a second teaser with actual film footage before then.

at this point I don't even care it's a reboot, I just want more Trek. :D

The original promotional poster (showing Kirk's insignia on a background half blue/half gold) was much more effective IMO.

That was phase one, this is phase two.

A second trailer with some set shots would be AWESOME.

edit: get with the program, dude :D http://trekmovie.com/

I don't feel sufficiently teased, but I am excited about this movie. Bring it on!!

A slight spolier.....According to Aint It Cool.com who has seen the script (They are pretty good about these these things) the on point I did not like was The Enterprise was the first ship of its kind and it was buildt in Area 51.

Gotta say, that classic music (particularly the james horner music from II and III) does something for me.

The writer (one of?) was interviewed regarding the trailer:

TrekMovie.com: Can you confirm that it was San Francisco and not Area 51.

Roberto Orci: I can only confirm that it is not Area 51.

Maybe. I'm not sure he'd bring enough weight to the role.
