Damn, I was hoping 'Razor' would be part of it.

I just got the RAZOR DVD from Amazon. I've not seen nor heard a thing about season 3 yet, so I hope that watching RAZOR won't spoil anything.

What is Razor?

Razor is an interim story that I believe takes place mostly on the Pegasus somewhere between seasons 2 and 3. It was shown on SciFi and an unrated extended version is now on DVD.

I remember buying 'Battlestar Galactica - The Mini Series' on DVD and when they released Season 1 on DVD it came with 'The Mini Series'. So I cashed in my MS DVD and bought Season 1. I've waited to buy 'Razor' on DVD because I thought they'd do something similar and include it with Season 3.

No, 'Razor' 's not on there.

No, there's nothing spoiled. You need to have seen all of season two to make sense of what happens, though. And there's a specific line of dialogue that has more significance if you (as the producers assume) have seen the season three finale, but it works just as well as foreshadowing if you haven't - none of the plot of season three is given away, just interpretation.

Yeah, now that I think about it, it'll probably be included with Season 4, whenever that comes out - with the writers' strike still on, who knows.

Yes, I've seen all of season two, though it's been so long ago, I'm not sure I remember what was going on.

Including Razor with season three could have been slightly problematic since even though it takes place chronologically prior to the season, certain events/plot twists are either mildly spoilerish or at least less resonant if you have not seen season three through to the end. From a storytelling perspective, it would make more sense as a prelude to season four, which is how it was conceived in the first place. If they are going to gouge you with a Razor double dip, it will probably be when season four is released on DVD. :)
