I heard from a friend that a movie about Brian Epstein will be filming soon, with Jude Law in the lead. So, I did a quick internet search and some articles spanning the last few years came up. I don't think it ever started production, but I'm not sure.

LOL
I was about to post about this very thing after reading a recent article and thought I would do a search first. So here we are years later asking the very same question, too funny. I too did a internet search and came up with very little information. Anybody have a clue about this supposed movie?

Is that the one with Roger supposedly having script approval? Hasn't that been at least 20 years in pre-production?

IMDB shows the Keith Moon Biopic as being "in production" with 2010 release date....

Nothing on IMDB that I saw regarding an Epstein movie (that I saw anyway)

If somebody wanted to do a movie about someone in the Beatles orbit, I think a much more interesting subject would be Pete Best.

Obviously? I just think the mass movie-going audience would connect more in a dramatic way with someone who missed out on the biggest time of all; his early days with the group, the events that led to his dismissal, the subsequent emotional turmoil his dismissal must have caused him, his attempted suicide, a side story of then 19-year old road manager Neil Aspinall becoming romantically involved with Pete's mother Mona Best who gave birth to Aspinall's child & how Pete might have dealt with that scenario, his struggle to remain in the music business and finally ending with a small measure of redemption with his payday from the Anthology release. Throw in the story of his 40-year marriage (i.e. love story) and man, you got yourself a movie!

You make a good pitch, seriously. Maybe more realistically as a TV drama documentary, similar to what was done with Stuart Sutcliffe. Would be interesting (if the Apples didn't stamp on it).
